Days before Christmas

December days, darkness outside, lightness inside. The many Christmas lights are shining with happiness, reflecting in the windows and on the walls, creating magic. Tiny glittering shadows are dancing, moving like little fairies. While staring at them they get blurred and mysterious.

This is a little corner in our house, colorful and playful, although this year we decorated more with natural ornaments, and hung them on branches we found in the woods. Together with lots of candles they turn December into a month of light.

It’s January now, days are getting longer, I’m aware of the fact to better not look forward to summer, but I can’t help and deep inside that’s what I do…. Meanwhile I appreciate every day, with a little help of candles to add some light and warmth to the season.
