Looking back at the faces I created in the last couple of months I see a certain process, a process of growth, a process that shows not only visual results but also inner growth.
All of these faces are in fact partly self- portraits. I believe it is impossible to create a portrait without adding something of yourself. It was not before I looked back that, apart from the different supplies I used, I observed a resemblance in these faces, or maybe rather a resemblance in style, or maybe I met a part of my inner self that was reflected through these paintings. It was kind of surprising and satisfying at the same time.
