My tribute to Rudolph

I have my ‘favorites’, I feel attached more to some portraits than to another. That has to do with the emotion it was created with. It doesn’t show on the outside, but maybe you can read or feel it too. There was a vivid memory of my childhood when Christmas time came near and you could watch Rudolph the red nosed reindeer on t.v.. I always felt so very sorry for him when everyone laughed at his glowing nose. And every year again and again I cried when watching or reading his story. Having grown up he is still alive in my memories so painting and embellishing him just felt so right.

I like to illustrate my imaginary world by expressing and translating my thoughts and feelings into color and pattern.
