Musing

Looking back at last year, there are always moments of happiness. Even in these strange times during #stayathome there are plenty things to enjoy. A walk in the woods brings inspiration to me, meanwhile picking up some colored leaves or seedpods for my desk.

There’s no need to go far away from home to experience unexpected new things. I’ve lived in several far away places in the world. The first time for us as a family, I was very young, having two little children. I felt overwhelmed by the new culture, in a good and not so good way. Besides the fact that I wouldn’t have missed these experiences living abroad, I realized that the happiest of moments can be found everywhere. You just have to see. Like the author of The little Prince ( ‘Antoine de Saint Exupery’) said: “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

The music in the video is composed and played by my son.

I like to illustrate my imaginary world by expressing and translating my thoughts and feelings into color and pattern.
