Marl landscapes, the process
I would like to explain more of the process of the small square landscape paintings inspired on the marl landscape where I grew up.
And as you know me and my work, you already noticed I like to exaggerate things in my paintings , especially color, so it’s not the Grand Canyon 🙂 It’s just my perception of color and my way of expressing things.
I had this long wooden panel, I started painting on the left like it was one large stretched panorama picture. I’ve added many thin layers, with lots of sanding in between. When it had dried, I sawed it in eight square pieces and worked on the individual pieces. Of what you see below, is a rough sketch. That’s where I’m now, I’ll work on the individuel pieces some more. Sanding, painting, let it dry and repeat.

Creative team
I like to illustrate my imaginary world by expressing and translating my thoughts and feelings into color and pattern.
